Last time I went before I turned 18 and had to leave (being only a corporal) the other squadron didn't show up, so we each got over an hour in the air instead of the typical 20mins, and it was during the week so we were taxi'ing with Tornados etc!
I can't tell you how mint it is holding short when a pair of Tornados kick in the burners on the runway what seems yards in front of you.
Sorry, I went off on one, but you'll love it. Best advice is to enjoy it, keep active get yourself noticed and have confidence. Drill might be a PITA at times (I actually liked it!) but its all the better for promotion etc.Harry
