  • E-Flite Blade CP, very cheap, worth getting?

I have seen a CP, Not a + or anything but it looks like I can get it delivered to my door for about 60 quid.

It is brand new in the box and RTF, is it worth it (I am pretty sure I am asking a stupid question here but I am just asking to see if there is a major problem with them that everyone knows about apart from me?)

Never fancied the Blade cp pro my self. Always thought it was a flimsy looking thing.
But that does seem very cheap. assuming it is brand new and rtf 2.4ghz

It is, it come with a NiMh battery and although I have priced up the recommended 3s lipo to put in it instead I presume I need a cable to convert from one to the other?

I am sure it is a good price but as a discontinued model will it cost me a fortune in spares? Is it miles worse than other CP models which would mean I would be better off spending more to get the right heli?

ETA, it is not 2.4ghz, it is FM. Think I will give it a miss then?

Cant say I really know that much about the B cp I've only ever seen it on display at my lhs, but dismissed it for the reasons I've already mentioned.
Personally Id rather hang on and see what the Blade SR is like when its released in the UK.
But maybe somebody else who knows the cp better than me will disagree.
As I said it does seem cheap but if its a pup or breaks easily then its a bit of a false economy if you see what I mean.
The SR does on the face of it look like a pretty good learners first cp heli. We will have to wait and see.

I had a CPP2 which was a good laugh, but the original CP I would avoid, I believe its nimh, has a gear driven tail which is a disaster, and is on FM radio gear.

The cost of fixing these would almost certainly be more than the difference to get something better to start with.

Unless you want something to tinker with, and are happy to spend another £60 on top just to get it in the air, I would give it a miss.
