  • V-Blades.

    Hi,
I had orderd some 690mm V-blades for my 90SE from a well known company, upon opening the parcel, to my suprise the blades had white tips on them, not the 'holagram' style I had seen advertised or orderd from the website . Initially I had thought that the white was a protective film, covering the 'holagram' that I had eagerly awaited. Only one way to find out! I carefully opend the bag to inspect the blades to see if it was a white protective film, but it was'nt further inspection revealed that there was a round mark on one of the blades, which was about halfway down and on the airofoil section Is this normal????

I sent an e-mail to the supplier with pictures of the mark and also brought to their attention that what I had orderd was not what I had recived! Expecting an appology and a swift exchane of blades, I had an e-mail back saying that the mark is on all V-blades and because I had opend the pckaging, the goods were deemed un returnable!!!

Following a conversation with Trading Standards, it seems that the supplier is in breech of contract. All I want is what I had orderd, no fuss, or anything. Will keep you posted on any developments.

The little round bit is normal, both my 690's and 600s have them - think it's to do with how they are ballanced, you may also find a hole on the leading edge

I was gutted when I got my 600 and no hologram - I was told it was due to delaminating and the silver coming off.

Forget trading standards, these blades are great, just go and fly them and you won't be disapointed, well apart from missing that shiney reflection

As far as I know, V Blades don't put the hologram on the blades anymore?
That may or may not be correct, but I spoke to Fast Lad at the North Notts fly-in last year, having spotted the new Trex blades, and commented on the white patch instead of the hologram patch, and thats what he told me.

I guess theres a reason for it, if it's true... it's sad though, I like the hologram look glinting in the sun
        Cheers,
        Rob
