When checking the thread locked bolts, you shouldn't be trying to tighten them any further. I simply give a wiggle with the hex driver, if loose you'll feel it. If the threadlock cracks at this stage, probably better that it did & simply apply some more.

I always tighten my bolts up (plastic & metal) so turning further requires a little more force, then just a tad more, (except the bolts in the feathering shaft, they get max torque).
I've not had a bolt come loose yet.

It's much quicker to just practice your Auto skills

Seriously though, one of my 600 got it's first strip/rebuild a couple of weeks back, basically because I was bored with all the cold weather, I hadn't crashed it recently (which is when they usually get regularly checked over !) and it was flying a little "different" .

All was perfect, except three things, it had shed a governor magnet, which explained the "different" flying, as it had reverted to the throttle curve and the headspeed was varying slightly thought a flight, the zero pitch position wasn't quite zero, and the rear bearing was just starting to "go".

So I went to the expense of replacing all bearings and running everything through an ultrasonic cleaner (ohhhh shiny), for little benefit, other than removing some boredom and emptying my pocket of some cash.

      Does it fly better, yep. . . . . and it's clean

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

Here's an idea for the "bolt/screw loose" problem.

Get a little tin of white enamel and a fine brush, and paint a little lines on the head and the frame/etc. if the bolt gets loose, the lines will not line up. (sucks teeth, "Simples")

              Ultrasonic cleaner?

That sounds like a tool i'd like, can you give details

is it like a parts washer for garages with a ultrasonic vibration element or something?
