If it does what metcheck says it will then I'll get out there tomorrow and hopefully it will be a bit drier and not too cold.

It was bright and sunny today but pretty cold. My only goal was to maiden the Hirobo so nothing ambitious anyway, but after a few tanks and numb thumbs I was ready to get home by about 3. But not a bad day really. It's probably time to try the tx mit thingy that everyone makes fun of

i wish i went out today as there was hardly any wind. my parents wanted the car to get some stuff but in the end never went to get it so was a little annoyed.
tomorrow around by me looks to be around 10mph and wind chill of -2. not sure if its worth going up the site anyway to see what its like.
Well, since my "In" last year, I've not been happy with the way it's flying. Don't get me wrong, it's OK, but just note quite right.
I'm gonna use the time I woulda been flying to check the head set up from top to bottom. Out will come the verniers, swash levelling tool, pitch gauge, the lot...
All time well spent, Brian.

Well, just checked the blade pitches and they were all over the place. On loosening the blade grip bolts, I found the blades were a little too thick to fit snuggly in the grips without binding. I must pushed them in when I fitted them - why did I do that?
As such I took a fine file to the blade roots and then polished them up with some 1200 grade wet and dry.
I also fitted a new flybar. Whilst the old one was only very very mildly bent (perhaps out by 2-3 mm in the centre ), I had a couple of new ones so I thought what's the harm. I also fitted a pair of flybar weights too.
On re-installing the blades and checking pitches I found they were all over the place! So I sorted those out too.
Just been out in the garden for a short hover and she's now back to the way I recall her flying before the crash - sweet as a nut!
