    HMRC also charge VAT and duty on the carriage cost from your supplier as well.

      I just had some good luck. I was tracking an order from HK for two brand new heli's (500 and 600ESP) and it said those dreaded words......released with charges.

      Now, seeing as I didn't have to contact customs they have gone by the value on the parcel. Just spoke to Parcel Force and I've had to pay.........................£24.63

      Seeing that I have saved over £200 by buying them from abroad I feel pretty lucky.

      I also didn't have to pay a delivery charge.

        Yeah I'd been reading the HMRC about custom/import duty and it said it's the full cost including shipping.
