  • Snow/ice safety

    Hey,

Some of you might know that my mum was involved in a car accident (Not too bad at all) with a TNT Truck, car is mangled at front etc, but mother is okay.

Then.. a couple of hours later

Heading out to get her phone from the car she slips and hits the deck, and a ambulance had to be called as she was in Severe agony (Had 1 Knee Replacement and 1 Hip replacement, and suffers from osteo arthiritious),

So please.. take a moment to think about the dangers and what foot wear you thinking of to walk in.
"Anger and Frustration bring the best out of my flying ability.. because generally I don't give a shit either if the machine hit's the deck or stay's in the air - both will accomplish satisfaction, but most of all it exerts the feeling of flying conservatively. - Callum"

Sorry to hear that Callum, best wishes to her. Get some salt in or buy some cat litter which does the same trick.

Hope your mother get better soon!
One thing we have to have here is snow tires and chains when you live up high.
I know it's not compulsory over there but they are well worth having, more so now as the UK weather is getting worse each year.

All the best for a speedy recovery. My missus had a mishap on the weekend. She was walking into town and slipped on the path. Hit the back of her head, suffered a very minor concussion and a neck strain. She was also wearing Hitec walking boots, but just hit a patch of ice with zero grip.

                        Ski snood for the neck

The boots are brilliant and have a lot of grip. Should go up to Cotswold Outdoors and get some crampons!

Just looking out window. People coming home from work in heeled shoes. But instead of walking on the path because it's got about 5-6inches of snow they're walking on the road. Which was slush earlier and now frozen over. Sigh people have no sense.
