Snow too deep....

Yep it was not suitable for Heli and I didn't want electric problem for the furture. So went to fly my HobbyZone's Piper Super Cub -it is ony a basic model and still on 27Mhz.

Beautiful blue sky and glorious sunshine!! What more do I need - Super Cub was thermalling with sea gulls! This little joy of a model (48") has never failed to cheer me up. After two sessions lasting more than 15 min each (from 1000mah pack) + 20 min talking with friends - the cold starting to bite every exposed body parts - time to head for the warmth of home and hot drinks.

I recommend Super Cub to anyone who is thinking of trying electric aircraft.

The model comes complete with motor, servos, battery, charger and even with a Rx and Tx.

I just cleared a circle about 5 feet wide in the field behind my house and put 4 packs through my 450. Landing was fun, as it was landing in a 5 foot circle with 1ft high walls!

Today the light was just beautiful, visibility crystal clear up here in the Derbyshire Alps

Still havent been able to get the car or van out for the last 3 days, snow and ice on a steep hill down to the main road, no sight of the gritters.

Had to grit outside myself. Our hill is 1:5 - I've dug the scooby out and parked it down in the village centre for tomorrows attempt to get to work.

Even the 2 grit bins on the estate havent been filled for a month!

I don't think they have filled the grit bins here in years. My neighbour works on street lighting and the gritters and had some grit.
