Well, considering it was -1 this morning when I went to load the van up we had a busy day. All in all must have been 15 people over there today, well shocked.
A mixed day of emotions it was. 3 crashes and a maiden.
Tim had a little dumb thumb moment which saw his heli nose dive into the ground but surprisingly the damage did not look too bad.
Sav's heli did not even take off as it starting jumping around then done the dreaded chicken dance all around the floor but luckily it was not going to mad and John pretty much jumped on it with his foot and stopped enough to cut the engine, this turned out to be a loose wire that came free on the batt so everything just got stuck where it was just before take off.
Ron, I dont know what Ron done just that it came back with no boom
Richy from ConceptCopters.com came over and gave us a preview of the Trex 700LE E. Wow what a beast this is and I so want one ( anyone want an Aurora LOL) as it looks the mutts nuts.
Got a brief vid but it was so cold that Richy had to come in and land and I was so grateful as my hands had gone numb.
I got some pics of it which I will post in another thread with the vid
I maidened the 600LE after many a drama. Nothing major just where it was not 100% set up the rest of it was done at the field this morning but eventually got it done and it took to the skies. The engine is a 10 tank old so a carefull first tank as it not run for a while but tehn that was it, straight into flying properly, well as properly as I can anyway. So must of done about 4 tanks through that in quick succesion which was great. Man I have missed Align, just something about flying that after an Aurora I was so carefree considering it was a maiden I just loved it. Cant wait now as gonna put the 55 in it in a week or so as soon as they in stock.
A few new guys interested in joining showed there faces today so it was good to meet some new people.
Was a good day for most but at least everyone had a smile on thier face.
