  • Fair Weather Flying

    Hiya guys,

Ash and I went out for a bit of fair weather flying at lunch, video below. We had to keep it high and rather repeatative because conditions didn't allow for much more...

Video edited by Ash (Trex Tuning), Filmed by Ash and Myself...

hehe was well funny, particularly towards the end where we both nearly get knocked off our feet by a strong gust.

I did a bit this morning with my trex 450se!!

Needless to say I didnt do much with it as hovering in a 30mph wind is hard enough....let alone aerobatics!!

Nice flying despite the wind. I can’t wait for summer, or just some non windy weather. I can’t remember it being as windy (and as often) last winter

That first flight was about 5 mins, was that all the pack could manage?,,i know the wind was high which woudnt help

What sort of flight times do you get on an average Rex 600 pack with mild 3d

how does this compare with average flight time of mild 3d in a Rex 450 with and average battery

            Nice flying,and very brave,,or desperatre

5-6 mins is fairly average for 3D, less if you really bang it around.

                Thanks for that,still debating between a 450se and a 600,,,decisions eh

I already run 5 50 size nitros so another 50 seems expensive and pointless,,

The 450 would be more use to me as i can use it at work and in the park etc

Im wary of them being twitchy as i owned a 450x a couple of years ago when they first come out but ut flew OK ish but glitched like a barsteward

Now i have Spektrum it removes that problem and i can see the quality has improved,,,

But what about flight times on the stock motor/esc and an average lipo?

                \cheers

Certainly longer than the 600 unless you are really hard on it or have a very thirsty setup
