      Yeah but if it leaves an oil residue on the surface then it won't be the best when you're applying an adheasive to bind two surfaces.

        I guess - think i might switch to metho or try the brake fluid -comes with a handy nozzle.

          I dont bother to clean it off just put a dab more on top of it! If it has way to much on there I keep the bold on an allen key and burn it off with a micro gas flame.

              I find lighter fluid is the best for cleaning bolts etc before loctiting. it breaks down oil a treat and will evaporate or wipes off bit a bit of tissue easily. second to that is brake and clutch cleaner as it does clean extremely well and evaps quickly..

              ORB - hopefully that's a typo but brake fluid will not do the job... and you'll wish you hadn't!!!!
