    Clever stuff...

...but surely must take the fun out of it.

I would not use one as yes it would but it would also stop people buying there dream machine and not flying it due to the fear of crashing.

then there's the risk of losing your flybarless controller in a crash :-)
It may sound funny, but I read one such post only today.
The skookum unit once left my 450 in a minor mid-air explosion, and it was sheer luck that we managed to find it afterwards.

Youve still got to be able to land(talking about planks)

Ive flown a heli commander that was odd, but yes it does take the fun out of it, and remember it wont stop you putting a wrong stick in.
            All the best

Isn't this rather similar to the Helicommand autopilot system (which I think is also available for flybarless helicopters) although helicommand doesn't work in rc planes?

Yes the accuracy/stability of that plane is very impressive.

There are a few of these at CMFA, Serpant on here flys with them as well. They appear a bit strange to me, but as said they have allowed a few of the lads to experiance flying without the fear factor of a crash.

Hmm very clever stuff! Kinda takes the fun out of it tho!!

Good for an intruction for jets - or maybe very large / expensive planes/helis that you don't want to take a chance with.
