GoPro HD camera

I got one of these for Christmas and I thought I'd share what an amazing little camera this is. It's tiny and does full 1080p HD footage with sound. Comes with a shock proof housing and is even waterproof to 60m. I use it on my dirt bikes but it's so small, light and easy to mount you would be able to hand this below just about any heli.

It does need careful mounting to avoid a 'swimming' effect with vibration.

that is stunning footage Nigel on full screen it realy draws you in!! i actualy had "butterflys" when you flew over the power lines. definatley something i will watch again

A link to mine on a plank facing backwards, note this is not the HD one, though, just the standard RC Hero camera, it has the 170 degree fish eye lens though I'm not sure I like it? But it works well and can shoot over an hour on a 4gb card.

What did you pay for the HD version?

That footage has been squished (technical term) for YouTub, you should see the original footage on a wide screen telly.

quality looks great, but i don't like the fish eye effect of the wide angle lense. Is the lense inter-changeable at all.

Yes, at LHC models. Owned by Sean Brown, one of the MHW coulumnists.

Sadly not - though the HD version doesn't seem to distort as much as the wide SD version though.
