The little ring on the esc to Rx line....i have just noticed its missing off my 500 today

Is it needed,i guess it is!

A choke - cuts out RF interference.

Ferrite ring, it reduceds noise/interference generated by the power leads from the battery etc.

Unplug ESC from Receiver.
Feed wire through Ferrite ring, and wrap it around etc several times.
Plug ESC back into Receiver.

Hehe,i trimmed the top of the plug off and it just squeeze's through...thanks guys

there are little tab's you can "Gently" lift with a pin and release the metal contacts from the plastic plug, and push till click to re insert them, make sure you get then in the right place!

Well,i will do that,i trimmed the one on the duff esc so when i fit on the T5 i will pop open the tab

If you are running 2.4 you do not need it Nick
don't take the plug off just cut the ring off with wire cutters you only need to do it once because they are brittle it will breakup

Dont even have to take it off as it fell off,broke,somewhere on salisbury plain lol
