very dumb basic embarasing questions lol

hi guys im a total beginer and i mean really un experianced, so i have a few very dumb basic embarasing questions lol that i guess i would rather ask people in private and not show my dumbness but unfortunatly i have nobody i can ring at the min so here goes with the 1st and most important

1 how do i turn of my twister storme it seems easy enough to power it up but i have no idea how to shut it down.

2 any tips on the best way to hover im going to take it real easy nothing to adventurous yet lol

3 anyone got a number and dont mind a noobie ringing up for a quick chat for a little advice? dont worry im not a stalker lol

hi and welcome to the forum great first post .first of all on here no such thing as dumb questions well we dont like to call them dumb and second embarrassing is when you take all your gear to the field and forget something like your tx. most electric helis you just unplug them and i would recommend getting a good simulator .the one i have called pheonix but there are others around.

First things first, Do you have some type of simulator? and have you learned how to hover with it?
If the answer to the above questions is NO then I strongly recomend you get one and have aplay around first for a couple of hours otherwise it's all gonna end in tears.

(1) The 3D storm has no on off switch you simply part the battery connectors to power down making sure of course that the transmitter is still turned on until after you have disconected the battery. POWER UP, TX FIRST THEN HELI, POWER DOWN HELI FIRST THEN TX...

(2) Probably covered this in answer (1) but just be very gentle with all controls until you are familular with whats happening with each input.

(3) You need to get involved with a local club to find someone local to give advice on flying and setup. People on here will always try and help but face to face is always best.

Hi storme37, welcome to the forum mate You've got nothing to be embarassed about mate =) After all, we've all got to start somewhere. So don't be embarassed

My advice is to practise on a simulator to learn how the controls work mate, it doesn't cost you anything when you crash =) And it will defenetely help. Practise as much as you can, be gentle on the controls as they are sensitive.

The simulator I use and still practise on is called Aerofly Pro Deluxe, I thoroughly recommend it. There are other sims such as Phoenix RC and Realflight G4 which are good ones.

Welcome to the forum. Please don't worry about what you may think are stupid question. We have all been there and if you want to see the pinacle of dumbness spend a day in the field with me lol.

As others have mentioned, a sim is going to help you no end. It will give you chance to learn the basics and beyond.
