  • Newbie saying Hi.

    Hi guys

Have just signed up and would like to say Hi and Happy New Year to all. Am a newbie to flying helis, though many years ago I was into aerobatic comps with fixed wing (until several of the rules changed, but that's another story). Have just treated myself to a Twister Medevac last Friday with a bit of the Christmas money, and am thoroughly enjoying myself with it so far. Just about getting the hang of hovering tail in, though height control often leaves a bit to be desired. Already I can feel the bug biting, and I am already thinking on what my next heli will be.

Anyway, will no doubt be back with loads of questions - just need to go and dig out my old FF7 to see if it still works.

            Thanks for the welcome guys.

Thought there might be a stock of 'usual' questions - there usually are in most forums, whatever the subject. Used to belong to a club in my fixed wing days, but most only operate on Sundays, which is out for me. Not sure about a sim; the only one I ever tried wasn't particularly realistic. As for my next heli, think I'll build up a bit of experience before asking about that one, though at the moment I think I'd like to stick to electric.

Should spend a bit of time now browsing the rest of the forum, and pick up a few tips along the way.
