  • Minor Frustrations

I went flying Monday, overcast but calm. I was on my third battery, and.... it rained. So, back home.

This morning, low cloud, but dry & dead calm. I went down to the field, flew 2 batteries, absolutely brilliant, I've never flown in such calm conditions.

I started to connect the next battery, and the Deans on the heli broke! One of the little springs broke off, so it was back home again to solder on a new Deans.

I am just a little frustrated!

You bought the heli home in one piece, Brian. Be thankful for small mercies. Perhaps the Deans breaking was a sign...

Absolutely, Tim! TBH, it's been a pleasant change to bring my heli home twice on the trot in one piece!

                          I agree with the guys..

Heli in one piece and you got 4 batteries in over 2 days.. I say that's a result mate..

You were not stuck at work when for 2 whole hours the snow stopped, sky cleared and the wind died and it was perfect for sneaking a few flights in, but all you could do is look at it through the window..

Its supposed to be good for some of the weekend, hope it goes trouble free.. Enjoy

Thanks, Mo. you are right, it's a result. Thing is, this is like my weekend/holidays, from the end of October till Easter, cos I work 7 months solid, 7 days a week, 18 hours a day. So, this time of year, I want to be out as much as possible, especially given that where I live, most of the time it's either windy, or raining, or both.

I should count my blessings, especially given my track record - bringing my heli home twice in one piece is very encouraging. It's just, I could have flown 6 batteries both days, but fate intervened.

Still, tomorrow looks good, batteries charged, so I'll try again in the morning.

                            Watch this space.
