Talk about putting a new meaning to the term putting your head in the sand. You must have some major damaged?

Had an "oops moment" today too, which could have totalled my 450, and I was not even flying it!!!!!!!
To cut a long story short, in my kitchen prior to going for a quick batt or two, wanted to give it a "once over". TX on, powered up and got the ESC "setup beeps routine". So reloaded the settings with the controller card, and tried again. Same beeps. Throttle end points, I thought. So went through that procedure, and after the 2 beeps, I put the throttle stick to zero, the heli burst into life at full rpm, fortunately no blade pitch.
Startled, I watched, helpless, as it started to destroy itself - and some of the kitchen. The Tx was ineffective, so I grabbed at the battery and managed to disconnect it. Phew.
                        No personal injury
Copter: trashed new Align 325Ds, boom and KBDD tail-blades, think that is all.

Could have been a lot worse. What I do not understand is WHY? I had changed absolutely nothing on the heli nor TX since the previous flight.

Could be that controller card you used might have changed your ESC settings, or maybe the Idle up switch was accidentally switched on?
Or could be something in the TX? Best do a thorough check up of the heli, preferably somewhere safer.
