  • My tail likes to swing in the air

Hi people. Getting used to my twister now. Can take it around the floor quite comfortably and the tail seems to be ok, not spinning around, only a little bit but thats ok. However as soon as i get about 1 ft off the ground the tail seems to have a mind of its own and just swings out whichever way it can and of course i try to correct it but when i try i mess up and hit the deck. Could it be something to do with the gain? I had to mess with the pots when i got it.

Answers and advice would be most appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Dan,

A little more information would be useful in order to help you out, what sort of gyro is it? what gain levels are you using and have you setup the tail pushrod properly?

It sounds from what you have said that either the gyro is not in heading hold mode and / or the gain is too low or maybe the pushrod setup isnt right, or even that the gyro isnt plugged into the receiver correctly.

If you give us some more information to work with we will be better able to help.

    Cheers,
    Pete.

Well its a twister V2 FP. So it has a 4 in 1. There are gain and proportional settings that can be tweaked. May have a go with the gain tomoro. Im slightly ****ed...... been out on the pull...... but shhhhhh

Okay, one other question I just thought of is have you changed anything on the tail or has this only started happening since the crash?

In the mean time though it sounds like the gain is too low, try increasing it very slightly and see what difference it makes. One thing to remember though is on these 4 in 1 units you need to rest them for the changes to the gain to take effect, so tweak the gain and then unplug the battery for a couple of seconds and plug it back in again.

Try that and let us know how it goes.

        Cheers,
        Pete.
