Been looking around for some LED Strip similiar to the zerogear. Seems to be a number of potential sources for the LED strip on E-bay etc.

Trouble is there are just so many differing options regarding the type, width, weather ptrotected V etc..and without seeing them first hand cant decide.

I do know I want 7-12v capability and something that can spiral wrap a boom etc

Anyone already gone this route before as it offers a considerable saving on a pre-made kit that you still have to solder it all up.

i have bought the led strips from brchobbies , they're very bright

i bought the yellow and reds, the blue is from maplins i bought ages ago very easy to use and cut / join this setup draws 1 amp though

very pretty glen..and bright. wonder if a 7.4 Lipo is enough. (8.4v of the charger) Looks like I might have to be creative and dim it off a little if its running on 12V

they do run from a 2s lipo although not much less bright to be honest, there are actually 3 leds in each light and you have to bridge to connector and one end to get them all to light. if you wanted it dimmer just don't bridge all the connectors to get 1 or 2 of the 3 leds to light up in each led (hope that makes sense)
