Lucky for me, my wife is the total opposite
although she has no interest in flying them herself, she is happy for me to have helis and planes and is more than happy to buy them for xmas
and is quite happy to come to the field and watch when the weather is good

there is one proviso normally, she has to choose the colours they are
hence why i have a pink raptor

she even supprised me this year by approaching me without prompting and asking if i wanted them 2.4ghz recievers to start swapping the rest of my fleet over

My wife does not know it yet but she has bought me a TREX 500 CF from Thomas (still boxed up as it was originally delivered.....).

She is OK with my flying (full size and models), but does not understand the need for multiple machines. She has (not unreasonably) suggested I sell machines I no longer use.....

Very funny. Strangely my wife is "happy" for me to be pursuing this hobby, almost to a point of encouragement. Sure we get the frowns when I suggest candidly that I really ought to get a new TX to which the response is "..but what are all these here for?", or isn't that canopy nice, ought to try these blades etc. But, I have limited my fleet to just 3, after binning a HBFP, Walkera 22E and a Walkera 4G3, but keeping the trusty Lama4 coax, even though I never fly it.

PS if you think this is expensive, try owning a yacht!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds familiar. I just point to her wardrobe full of shoes. That usually silences her!

Sadly I can't do that... she has a lot of clothes.... but they go all the way back to the early '70s, and she rarely spends anything on herself for clothes and shoes, and when she does I really encourage it. My 3 daughters however have gazillions of shoes and new clothes.... plus all of them share and swap - and often wear my wife's 70's and 80's clothes.

My wife is a passionate plant and gardener - and not into material thinngs at all.

                    Lucky you.

Wish my wife and 18yr daughter were like that.

I'm not bothered what she has or would like and if i can will give her the money for it.
I pay £7 for a haircut and theres no change out of £60 for her but i dont mine she always looks nice in my eyes.
                      But still

And she's bought me a 450 SE V2 for crimbo (and she knows it).
