You already own what i'd suggest - The Knight 3D. Never had any problems with mine, was a good heli and pretty tough too. If i were to be tempted with nitro again i'd probably look at the latest Knight 3D plus...

Hi all i think all helis mentioned seem to be good ,But i think relabilety is down to good maintanance. Check it over every time you fly then again when you have finished.

If I can give any advice I would stick to flying one/two models this helps in my view to progress your flying by getting used to the same heli all the time. I opted away from the Align NSP down to maintenance and slop I found always in the bearings and links.

I opted to go for the Outrage V50 and its early days as its not had many flights THB but thus far its holding up. I did also go flybarless at the same time so another learning curve.

Out of all the heli's I've flown the most durable I've had was the Synergy N9, now its a .90 but if the little brother is half as a bullet proof as the big brother is then my V50 might get a buddy.

What ever decision you make I'm sure it will be the right one.
        Cheers
        Stuart

Thanks very much to everyone for the suggestions and feedback.

My goal is to eventually have just a handfull of helis I really love flying and get on well with regarding maintenance etc. and I don't mind a voyage of discovery in the process.

Yeah, I suppose part of my thinking was influenced by a split tail slider on the Ely.Q that almost ended my flying day a few weekends ago. But I have replaced all the usual plastic suspects with metal parts now so I suppose the same approach could apply to almost any heli, just know the weak spots and upgrade them.

I liked my Elyq a lot but the quality was an issue imo, get what you pay for and all that.

was it the lightweight paddles you put on mike... (the usually green ones)
i just happen to have a set lying in my flightbox (red tho )
how do they compare to the standard knight paddles?

in reply to original question.. the good old rappy 50 is as reliable as hell.. i've had mine nearly 2 years and nothing major has gone wrong with it.

                      JR Vibe 50

Has anyone ever heard of a failure!!?

Its the best put together heli i have seen IMO.... does what is sais on the tin and pretty well too.

Yes, it a little weighty but with a new gen motor its all good.

But we are talking reliability and the vibe has to be proven as top of the tree to date...... no?

                          That was either;
                          1. A large wasp
                          2. I bought the heli second hand and didnt bathe it in loktite as per usual
But it kept on going and only when cries from pete and the lads of "Erm Mark..... put the heli down!!" did i notice a problem.

Inspection revealed the second theory and a radix SB busted

Now the screws are done up tight its spot on!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Joking aside.... its solid and i only hope the Align boom support bolt i have fitted following the misshap lasts out!!! He He

Yeah..... useless things, no honey..... and heavy as hell.

Beware fellow Vibe pilots..... a genuine threat to reliability

It will be reliable now though Mark as it has align bits fitted.

To add a note, i had a knight 3d also, and bar a stripped main gear was very reliable
