Hi all. Had a dilema on what to do indoor or outdoor for my first heli. Think i have now decided think im going to go for the storm 450 cos its within my budget and rather than get a more expensive one that i would be apprehensive about flying a cheaper heli i wont mind the crashing much. Im also going to get the dx6i and pheonix before i even attempt to fly it. Any feedback on this for me guys? And lastly i was reading in a post on here about clone heli's i was going to buy a 500 size to build to get a bit me knowlege about the mechanics on a heli. Cheers liam.

Never heard of a storm 450 before
What is your price range? There might be something better out there

Stuarts 450 v2 is what you want!
EDIT: http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/sale/2...-450se-v2.html
Much much better spec than you will ever get with any RTF model

I need to sell some stuff first so i wont say anything cos im not one to mess people about but it does look nice just dont know if the funds will stretch that far need to find a used dx6i first. The reason i was going to go for twister storm 450 cos its cheaper also me being new to this i will definatly crash

You wont find much difference in spares costs at all between the Twister and the 450v2. After a months time you will want to replace the gyro and tail servo on it, then when you crash you will put Hitec HS-65MGs on it.
By that time you should have just bought Stuarts v2. Been there, done that. Personally, I would get Phoenix and the DX6i and save for a v2.

Don't buy cheap 6 ch helis! I did the same and wasted my money, took two helis down the tip on Saturday, a walkera 22e and a esky honeybee. They were so rubbish that's all they were fit for. If you want a cheap first heli that will survive crashes but is a great laugh to fly, it's got to be a 4 ch blade msr all the way. Get a 6 ch heli once you have mastered the bladeLast edited by cupracing; 05-11-2009, 06:33 PM.Goblin 700
