On the BMFA site they list a club in Gloucester called: GLOUCESTERSHIRE MODEL HELI CLUB

They dont appear to have a web site or contact details. Are there any members of this club using this forum?

Thats GLOUCESTER MODEL FLYING CLUB mainly planks from what i've been told, and not many Helicopters.

There is a club (or was) at the race course Chelt, I flew planks 20 odd years ago there. At the time full of old grumpy men! Most might be dead now though!!

They fly from the car park near the railway line, at the Bishops Cleeve end of the ground. Pop up there on a sat or sun. Not sure if they can fly when the sunday market is on though.

Gloucester Heli Club is south of Gloucester, just off the A38. Not far from Gloucester MFC but heli only!

It's been about 5 years since I flew there, and have lost contact with them abit so I suggest contacting the BMFA for details.

I once bought a heli from a chap who flew at this heli-only club near to a very main road a couple of years ago. He lived in or near Stroud. I still have his email address but don't want to give it out. I'm pretty sure he isn't a forum member on here. The heli I bought was advertised on the BMFA Classifieds. We have had a couple of emails back and forth over the last 3 years about how I've got on with that heli which I had from him, so contact is certainly possible.

I can do one of two things maybe to help......

1) send him an email and ask him to look at this thread, but he will have to join the forum in order to post a reply which he may or may not want to do.

2) collect the email addresses of those who want to contact this club by PM and send him and email asking him to contact you directly.

Either way, there's no guarantees. But I'm sure you'll appreciate, it's not up to me to give out someone else's contact details, who I really don't know.

Glos model heli club is nr Slimbridge, on the road to cam. It is a fair way south of Gloucster.

Glos model flying club is nr J12 M5 on the road to Standish/Stonehouse.

I may well join Teddington cross model flying club. F.arch has been there for a recky and said its a nice big field. That club is 5 min from J9 M5 nr Tewksbury.
