  • Horizon UK do it again :)

A week ago I ploughed a furrow with my 600npro and broke a lot of stuff including smashing the case on both parts of the AR7000 and damaging the antennas on the main part (though it still worked).
To save expense I briefly considered gunking it all up with hot glue and tape, but instead I sent the complete AR7000 to Horizon hobby for repair.
Sent Monday, received back wednesday before the post strike. Paperwork said repair both cases, fix antennas, Full function test OK.
Invoice was included with zero cost! total cost to me was one way post to horizon.

Anyone had such service from any other R/C brand?
    I think not!

The last remaining bit to get the heli complete is a swashplate stuck in the post.

I have to agree with you Gordon 100%

Every single time I've dealt with them their customer service has been without fault. If I've ever damaged a receiver they always sort it with no fuss or expense to me.

It's hard to imagine any other company currently in the scene who will go this far every time.

That the number 1 reason i will NEVER fly the F word, Case in point ive been waiting 2 and 1/2 months!!! for a poxy plastic screen for a friends TX and yet its in stock.
Horizon are simply the best im absolutely staggered at the customer service, all companies should take serious notice of how they do it!
To date this is what ive had FREE from Horizon.
      NEW DX6i
      2 X AR6200's
      2 X AR6100E
      1 X AR6100
the last one is the most noted i feel, although the others were replaced after i fully admitted recking 2 of them, because the AR6100 was sent to say sorry for the huge inconvenience of not having my TX from Monday to Thursday of the SAME week when i couldn't fly anyway and when i did get it back they'd sent a spanking new DX6i even though the one i sent in was more than 12months old.

i have to say that for years i have been a Futaba fan and have rarely used anything else (Flame suit on)
but when i read these posts and see their prices in comparison to Futaba's, i really think about making the leap to a DX7
it would be expensive to start, but i'm sure it would be worth it ???

I had a Futaba 35Mhz radio before switching to 2.4Ghz with a DX6i. Now have a DX7 as well, as I find the back-up given by Horizon Hobbies for the Spektrum kit is superb. Yes I had some of the quality issues with my DX6i as it was an early version, so it had to go back to have the noisy gimbals replaced and the trim tabs broke but Horizon repaired these problems quickly and a no cost to me except from postage to them.

Horizon are a teriffic customer focused company who fully deserve the praise and recommendations they regularly receive from their customers on this site.

          Have fun.

Seriously you would not regret it one bit, hopefully when the percentage of Spektrum/JR users in the UK completely dominates Futaba's, they might change there customer service but some how i doubt it

I have to agree with HH's service :- my DX6i was not part of the main recall but had a niggly problem (possibly more my paranoia then anything else) on one channel that concerned me - they replaced the gimbals and tested for no charge!

              Runs mint now!
