    The maximum you can get.

Your question however seems to be referring to how much pitch is required for the tail to couteract the torque of the engine/motor so the model will hover without turning when the gyro is in rate mode.

The magic number seems to be 7 to 8 degrees of right rudder. But it is a trial and error thing. You just need to keep adjusting the rod length or moving the servo up and down the boom until the model is trimmed, always maintaing the servo in its mid position with the servo horn at 90 degrees.

Ok so try around 7 degrees and and go from there. So always to the right.

For models that have main blades turning clockwise yes.

Cheers Andy. Mine are all clockwise if I remember rightly.

          Thanks again for the pointers.

The set up varies from gyro to gyro, the 401 likes to have some pitch there in rate but this gives uneven piro rates, which have to be dialed out in the TX although there are many individual views on which way is best with the 401.
I see you have the GP750 too, with this one just set it up in HH, and centre the slider at 0' pitch adjust left and right limits and this should give nice consitent piro rates, ive noticed with mine it actually prefers setting up like this rather than with pitch at neutral, giving better hold. Obviously the slider is where ever it needs to be to hold the tail getting this position from the gyro.
