Have you checked you have not got any teeth missing from your gears?

I had this on my Blade 400 after some head scratching and posting on here, turned out to be a loose belt on the tail. Just an idea

              Hi guys
yeah i've checked the belt tension and if i tighten it the noise gets worse, but if i slacken it off the noise goes but then its to loose to fly, can not see any teeth missing on the gears, this is whats making me think one way bearing

Have you checked all your bearings? Mainshaft bearings, one way bearing, tail bearings.

slaken the boom and push it in this will help you eliminate tail and belt problems

Is it possible that you can identify which part of the heli the sound is coming from? Is it from the mainshaft end or from the tail? Might be a shot bearing on the tail end? I've also read of people getting clicking sounds from a worn tail pitch slider, curiously enough.

                      Paul

check your clutch if the blades are hard to turn backwards its probably down to it jamming and will also explain the clicking noise

                      Cheers

And if it is the tail-belt, see if the clicking is in sync with the tail shaft, the drive pulley, or neither. This gives other clues.

On a G5, I noticed something similar, that was in sync with the tail pulley. I had a build up of debris (which makes you wonder...) between two of the teeth. Cleaning this out with a tooth-pick made things better.

                            Hi

I had clicking after a crash yesterday it turned out to be the main gear cog was slightly damaged on the teeth that small that it could be bearly seen. Might be worth another fine inspection of them.
