  • Parkflyer or Full Range Spektrum Receiver?

I am going to move my AR7000 out of my Twister 3D Storm in to the T-Rex 450 Pro when I get it. So, I need to replace the AR7000 with something, and something cheap as possible.

This one is like the receiver in my Blade CX2:
    Fast Lad Performance

I believe this will be from the Parkflyer range, so is this suitable for a T3DS size heli or do I need full range?

    What is the range difference?

    Thanks
    Jack

You will have trouble fitting that AR7000 inside the Pro, I swapped mine for an AR6200 in the end.

I run a 6100e in my Pro. Many others do aswell, that size heli you're not really going to be flying that far away... are you hehe?

Ah ok...thanks. I thought I would need the RX with satellites etc.
Would a 6100e be so suitable that it need not concern me at all?

Not planning on taking it too far - have a habit of letting it get way too small in the distance though

        Cheers.

No I don't really think you would need one with the sats.

Many, many people run their 450s with 6100s. I've never heard of anybody having range issues.

Mine is mounted so the aerials are coming out the back of the heli. (Pic to follow)

            Here is mine.

Note that little blobs at start of aerial, from the case outward, are hot glue, stops them coming off

Yeh 6100 or the new 6110 is fine for a 450 heli.

I use 6100e's on both of my 450's - one has it mounted at the front and one at the rear - both work just fine although I prefer placing the rx at the rear (better protection).

                  Cheers
