10s charge rate

hi all.just been chatting to a friend who has a logo 600 he has now changed to fbl before he changed he was getting 4.5 mins flight time what would he expect to get now he has gone fbl ,he is running a 10s 25c 4350 also what would be his ideal charge rate be ,hes been charging at 4a would it be better for the battery to charge at lower rate any info would be appreciated.

Charging at 4c will certainly reduce your battery life Brian.

I always charge at 1c because there is no rush in my case.

If I were trying to push a lipo through at a faster rate I reckon 2c is plenty mate.

My timers set at 5.½ min- same sort of packs- no need for stupid high headspeeds with FBL unless you really like to go for gear stripping insane power

So run the HS around 2000/2100, up the pitch a tad to compensate if you've been running higher HS and just dial in the agility to suit....


Also worth bearing in mind that blades make a difference as well, theres quite a difference in how efficient they are, power hungry ones like maniac might well knock of 30s of flight time compared to raddix/red devils etc

When you said 4c, did you mean C or A? 4c would be somewhere around 17.2A! Not sure the 10s is capable of that. if you meant 4A, then thats perfect.
