if so, it wont be the last time someone does that, especially when there using a drill.

So far in my experience there has only ever been two reasons why one of my engines didn't start. (assuming we're using a proper nitro heli fuel)

The first (and prob 90% of the time) it's not getting a hot glow plug. And for me, the reason is usually due to the remote glow wire touching the head and not heating the plug properly. I also have a switchglo on my Ely.Q which is making the beep noise but was not working on it's maiden flights so I used a regular glow stick instead then it fired right up.

Second is the fuel intake but if you can see fuel going through the line and coming out the exhaust then you know fuel is going through and even if there is a flow issue it will still try to start and run a bit.

Third is a blockage in the exhaust.

Last would be problems in the engine / carb but even still it would most likely start and then just run poorly rather than not start at all.

Right just had another go... The nut that holds the fan and fan hub on the engine has just sliped and caused the clutch to shoot up into the top of the bell... Could this of been my problem... the nut slowy coming off?

OK guys, i got it started for about 3 seconds... then it cut... i tryed to start it again but forgot about the locktite setting and harding so the nut that caused all this came lose and shot the clutch right up in the bell. so i know what to take the engine out and sort it out... grrrrr
