  • Oops I binned it again!!!!!!

Oops I binned it again, however it was nice that it was my fault and not a maniacal fault unlike the last few crashes. I was doing some nice big circuits and some nose in hovering/flying and got a right rush out of it I loved it. The reason for crashing I lost orientation with my heli then crashed I almost saved it but I over corrected it. I have had 8 really good flights today and I learnt more today than I have over the last month or so, it was nice to see some other angles of my heli flying rather than just the tail.

Shame about the crash, But as you say you got some good flights first!
Hope it's not too expensive to fix...

So you're last two crashed were maniacal eh? I really hate it when a maniac grabs the tx and causes a crash

But seriously, I think I know what you mean about losing orientation. The thing that still happens to me is I'm flying side-on or at an angle and for a sec I don't know which way the heli is leaning, so I'll usually try to correct to level it out and sometimes then realise I am correcting the wrong way and there's that moment of terror and frantic opposite correction.

Nice one mate! Sounds like you were enjoying yourself.

I got 5 flights today - making the most of this nice still weather.

Hope you didn't muller the metal head up? Maybe feather and main shaft that needs replacing yeah? I have a collection of banana shaped main shafts from past crashes - not sure why I am keeping them lol.

in my opinion, side-in is the most difficult direction, since you can't look at the tail.
At short distance, look at the skids instead.

Well the Sonix head is fine, I have taken out the feathering shaft and it don’t look bent but I will change it anyway the main shaft is really bent, the only annoying thing is I have broken both the skid mountings on left hand side of the frame so I got to swap all over to a spare fame.

That's one (of many) of my problems. Happens to me a lot.

Well done you have to push your self
could you glue the skids on?
I know the blade breaks the little piece of the frame easy.
It's only the skids then try the glue first
                      cheers Paul

If it was just one of them I would have just glued it, but being both of them I’ve changed the frame its nearly all done now, just got to put in the rx ready to fly again tomorrow.

Glad to hear you have almost finished the repair.

I managed to crash mine again today.
I was doing some flips and lost orientation, luckily I think its just blades, feathering and flybar this time
                            Will be fixed tomorrow.
