  • Two Flights, Two Crashes!!!!!

    Dam and double dam!

First flight of the day, all was going well, trying some of the sim moves in real life and stuffed the Raptor into the ground.

As if that was not enough, took the Pro straight out, ran the battery down, about to do a nose in landing and I just tipped it over - DOH!

I didnt bother taking photos of the Pro, threw it all in the back of the car and went home to sulk.

I cant even ask for any sympathy, both crashes were my fault, its a steep learning curve today.

On the whole the raptor doesn't look to bad.. you'll be back in the air in no time.

I've experienced the exactly the same, I stuffed both my titans on the same day in back to back flights, I wasn't happy but unfortunately its all part of it. I've also had 1 complete right off & 1 border line right of in 3 flights learning 3D for me has been expensive, especially as I'm trying everything uber low

Chin up & get ordering parts!

    Good luck

      Been there done that too...

You will be back up in the air in no time, and give it a month or so you will have selectively forgotten how much it all cost!

I hope the repairs are quick and easy and that you get them sorted ok.

Blades are the real money eater, I had just fitted some Radix 95mm carbon tail blades last week too! All the parts are on the way, I have a fair few parts in the tool box anyway so its not too bad.

Both helis including main blades for them both £180.

I guess thats the cost of learning 3D.

Thats not a crash its a hard landing.

Only thing worse than crashing a heli is crashing 2 on one day. Been there....

As for the blades. Why not try KBBD on the tails there alot cheaper and work well (IMHO).

Get it fixed and get back up there.

Technically it was two hard landings! Bounced the skids hard on the first one, think the boom bent then. I was still applying power hoping I would get away with it and it went up again, realised I only had marginal tail control and in she went on its side!

Fingers crossed all the parts will be here today, possibly tomorrow and hopefully flying again Friday.

Blimey Sacko, I think you got me wrong, that was for the total cost. There is a set of blades for the Pro at £24, some SAB red devils for £62 and the tail blades at £22, the rest of the £180 is for all the other bits and pieces.

8 days to get all the spares together due to lack of stock of some parts. Time to clear the operating table and start the rebuild.
