35 Mhz rx

This may sound like a stupid question but iv got an old computer tx (see below) and was just wondering if any 7 channel 35 MHz rx with matching crystals would work with it?

Over here, PPM rxes work with pretty much any transmitter.

PCM work with only the same brand, and with JR at least there's a number of revisions (ZPCM and SPCM, IIRC), so you need to get the right one.

Also mate just make sure the crystals you use are relative to the brand.

ie, If using a Futaba TX with a Hi-tec receiver on channel 62 then Futaba #62 Xtal in Futaba TX and Hi-tec #62 Xtal in Hi-tec receiver.

You can't use either Futaba or Hi-tec Xtals in both.

Thanks guys, it says its a PCM transmitter so i guess ill have to look out for a jr pcm rx, another quick question is jr and macgregor the same company?

McG's are the main UK importer of JR radio sets, like Ripmax are to Futaba.
