Yeah, you really should put a disclaimer on the video with wording like "do not try this at home! Dangerous stunts such as this should only be attempted by skilled professionals"Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

Yes...thats exactly what I found...I checked the TX and everything is fine on that...So im assumming Im bogging. I think I need to get a tach and get it down to a constant head speed of lets say around 1700.Extremely delighted to be an owner of the Eddie Gold Star

Ideally you should use an idle-up setting where you still have good headspeed at zero pitch mid-stick. Then attack the loop as normal but pull the throttle/pitch back towards the top of the loop to reduce the load.
I made the horrid mistake of setting up my Raptor 30 for +10 pitch at the high stick and trying a loop without backing off the pitch. When it's pulling some G's the load on the blades is higher. Anyway, it bogged right down and then didn't recover fast enough. The result was not pretty to watch (I'm traumatized for life actually, from seeing it plummet).
I'm going to install a revlock 30 on it now which should manage the throttle and pitch much better than is possible with curves alone.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

Trillian: Thats what I tried most of the day yesterday. I think the engine needs to be tuned. I went from wicked head speed...(still bogged on flips) to finding a constant head speed (still bogged). Need to bring to the flying field to see if one of the old timers can tune it up. Then reset my Tx setup.Extremely delighted to be an owner of the Eddie Gold Star

Yes, I would suggest that you get it set-up to do 3D before attempting to do so and THEN put it on video for public consumption. The way was presented may well lead some to think Canadians are a bit dafft.Originally posted by mulikow View PostTrillian: Thats what I tried most of the day yesterday. Fortunately I know of a number of excellent Canadian flyers - e.g. Scott Gray and Colin Bell.
You might want to check with TSKca on RC Canada. He has been flying his Enforcers (Space Barons in the UK) in 3D for many years. He may also be able to give you some pointers on some of your other (questionable) "blind leading blind" you-tube videos that have earned you the title "master of repair" over there. Or did you put those videos on youtube on purpose, as comedy routines?

Rotormotor: Thanks for the comment.
I think everyone here allready knows that my Vids are for entertainment purposes only. Ahhhh yes Tskca. Tskca and I are allready in contact with each other. Blighty and Tskca actually helped me setup the Heli from the beginning. Tskca just sent me those paddles you see in the vid. They are alot thinner and lighter than the stock paddles. The main blades are also from Tskca. If you want to think of Canadians been daft...go right ahead. We wont hate you for it.
Anyway: So I think i got the motor running just about right now. I went from the main needle been two turns to about 1 1/2. I attempted some more flips and they were nice and tight and smooth.Extremely delighted to be an owner of the Eddie Gold Star

mulikow,
Hey, Who said I thought Canadians were a bit daft??? I think we're great
I too find some of the videos funny. And it always is good if one can laugh at oneself, as long as we stay within the realms of safety.
I think we all can remember the trials and tribulations of learning how to properly set-up helis and tune the glow and gas engines. A sense of humor through all that certainly helps overcome the possible frustrations that can creep in.Rep for Leisure-Tech Products & Futaba
