Thinking of doing another Raffle

But how are we going to do the payments because of the trouble with paypal.

Bank transfer maybe,cheque????

What or how would be the best way to do them now??

Bank xfer probably easiest for you, just make sure you have everyone put their usernames and ticket number as the payment reference. Whats this for?

I would be happy to do a bank transfer, you have no come back but I trust the sellers\rafflers on here so woulnt have an issue

why dont we just pay the paypal charges on top of raffle price it will only like 30p or summat

there is a solution bank transfer or pay pal but buyer pays the extra 30p to use pay pal

I suppose if we did use bank transfer it would have to be on the understanding that we may have to wait upto 3 days I think for some banks but the prize would be well worth it

Thats all I'm saying for the moment as I'm not 100% sure what I'm gonna do just wanted to see what options are here.

Oh yes! That is correct. PayPal is out for raffles.

Bank Transfer is good - but can take 4 days. A couple of people sent me cash - £1 coins in the post - risky but they got here. It is a pity about PayPal because it is so fast, but they seem on the ball or...... someone reported my raffle to them. I suspect thier software detected references to "raffle" and "lottery" in the payment replies - I can't believe there was a snitch.

If it was a sntich it would not be a regular from here.

I had lottery and raffle in the subject etc but mine was early on in the raffles.Just dont want to get all that money stuck with paypal,they rob enough as it is

To be fair to PayPal, they are a business and have to make a profit - they cannot provide a financial service for free and Gift does allow free transfers.

They also dealt with me very fairly and efficiently - it was all sorted and my account de-restricted within 24 hours, and I had breached their rules.

I never made a gift payment without being charged. It always asks who will pay the charge and I have tried every option to pay without a charge but it still there.

I always thought if I don't paythe charge then the receiver does as it says this when the money is sent?

I never paid - nor did the recipient - charges for Gift. I think it depends on whether you have a PayPal balance or linked Bank account / Credit card.

could i just throw this idea at you all,
lets say a bank account was opened in heliaddicts name which raffle payments could be paid into,then once all tickets had been sold the money would be transfered to the seller .This way peoples bank details wouldnt be banded all over the place.im sure that people who use this forum are all trustworthy people but it would give you that peace of mind that your only ever giving one person(heliaddicts) your details.im not sure whether this is feasible or whether the administrators would approve?
