  • Inverted - Tx switch

title may be completely wrong - but my question is this

when you in vert your heli - do you flip a switch to reverse your servos?

Sounds like a stupid question now I write it - but in my mind the ideal thing would be to roll it, flip a switch and this would change the Tx configuration to make right -> left and up->down so that the controls still felt normal - inverted.

    Make sense?

If not then it must be quite hard to fly inverted, left=right, up=down etc.

    thanks

left is always left and right is always right, no matter which way up the heli is. down is not down, it's canopy to skids and up is canopy to blades. So no matter which way up it is, roll left is always roll left and canopy to skids is always canopy to skids.

It's the rudder that does my head in!

i think that is how it was done in the old days. IMO it would be easier to learn inverted than to learn when to flich a switch

LOL Tic Toks would mean some serious switch flicking!

Seriously though, NO - you've got to learn all orientations, and yes, it is bloody hard (for me anyway).

The rudder is by far the hardest thing for me inverted.
In the sim I can pretty much hover in all orientations but if I try and fly around I always get the rudder mixed up.
          More practice required.

When the heli is nose in you are visualising things from the imaginary pilots point of view, for me its much harder to visualise being upside down.
Maybe I should use the sim when standing on my head or something

No, we don't have inverted switches anymore. We don't have nose in switches, either

For rudder I concentrate on moving the bit of the heli closest to me (so tail rather than the nose). It's elevator that gets me, even when I'm not inverted now!

..remember the 'invert switch' on the older transmitters. I owned one back then, but never got to use it!
