If you were buying a 90 nitro which one would it be?

Gotta say Jamies N9 looked awesome at the champs and it was obvious he was really comfortable flying it (hence his superb 6th place).

I actually don't think the quality of the 700 is that bad and as others have said the kit and spares are cheap by 90 standards.

All depends on your pocket and whether owning the latest and greatest is your thing. For me the 700 ticks all the boxes. :-)

If you get a 700, upgrade the tail rotor. Maybe it was bad luck but I kept the stock rotor, lost one blade grip in flight when the screw broke, and paid almost € 500 for it.

Also it depends what type of flying your into

Some are better than others for 3D or FAI and some it doesn't matter....

I have an X Cell Spectra G at the moment but so far it hasn't been a good marriage hence why I'm thinking of going over to a nitro. The Vibe looks really nice but at my level of flying, billy basic, it's envitable that it will go in at some point. Consequently I may just end up getting the Subaru of 90 heli's the 700.
The problem I have is that there are few members flying 90's at our club and those that do all have 700's. Whilst this means it would be good for borrowing spares if needed, it also means I've got nothing to compare them with. LHS only stocks Align and the occassional Raptor so can't really look at anything there either.
I appreciate the advice and I think I need to try and find somebody locally that's flying one of the other brands so I can have a look close up.

i would say it is an advantage that your members fly 700's and your LHS stock the parts

if you wan't something different mod it to your spec or go flybarless for the ultimate! Andy Hornyak's machine at the champs was breathtaking!!

Can't beat a 700 for value for money and performance thats for sure, and is easy to fix maintain and cheep to do so too, also a good looker too.
I have both an aurora and 700 and where i love both of them i find i can let go a bit more on teh 700 because i ain't so worried about a ding, but the aurora does fly really nice, i am just lucky i have the best of both worlds

Like you, I have a 600n and a Spectra in the fuel dept. I am thinking about another 700 in the future, and looking at the Vibe 90 or the T-Rex, the vibe may be a better heli, but as people have said I don't think you will beat the T-Rex 700 for price/performance.
