I have a thunder tiger 325mm blade that was one of the few surviving parts from my belt CP crash.

Maybe if everybody who has spare blades posted them here we could make up a few sets. I bet everybody has a few lonely blades in a box somewhere.

generally folks stick to the same type of blades and end up with 2 crash survivors to make a pair out of. i'd keep the one you have you'll no doubt get another one in time

I suggested this same thing in the forum a couple years ago.

Problem is, blades are sold as matched pairs - matched for C/G and weight, so if you're going to try and mary one up with someone else's, then you have to specify this information quite accurately so that you can make a good match.

Better off just using the odd ones to stir paint to be honest. After all who says they are not damaged internally from the crash?

I thought that with the best make blades that they are all made the same and the weights would be close.

You have to be careful, especially with the 325 size blades. Although they look perfect, nearer the root of the blade can get internal stress fractures from a crash, and may look perfect from the outside.

Signs that you should just throw the blade away is while the blade is in the blade grip, to flex the blade up and down while listening closely with your ear close to the root. If the blade is damaged you can hear very small 'fracture' type noises from it.. You have to listen closely though..

With the bigger blades, you can generally see by sight.

They are usually quite close, but can differ by some degree also, its the process used to make them been of mat and resin/wood construction its difficult to ensure the exact same weight each time one is made and hence why a factory is best suited to be able to match a pair for use to use as they have so many, the chance of you buying 2 sets of blades of the same type size etc and there weights and CG points been identicle is very very small.
Keep them when you have another you can make a pair but check carefully and some tape will be needed!

I thought this with one of my 325 radix blades, ended up getting another of a forum member but the weight was so different they were unusable as a pair.

I almost lost a Logo 600 once after fitting a mix matched pair of 600mm radix- both pairs matched perfectly but were way out to each other( dose that make sense!) Dam thing started shaking like mad on spool up and on a FBL machine that aint good

Don't like the idea of trying to balance 600+ blades either.

I've mixed odd radix325 and found they were a very close balance.
I've a pair of odd glx600 that are way out...
If mixing pairs of blades, check lengthways C of G position, apply tape to the tip to get the lengthways c of g in the same place on both blades, then apply tape at the c of g on the light blade to get the pair to balance.

I currently have an odd radix 325 and an odd GLX325 available...
