  • bloody kids.....

Was having a play on Phoenix today to see if I could use my thumb OK and my son walks in a asks for a go. He's previously hovered my MCX for a few seconds but did not really show any interest.

Anyway I sat him down and just showed him the controls and he announces that he wants to do a loop..

    ok I said....

.... and he only went and did one, pulled it out level at the end to .. he crashed afterwards but I was speachless for a second.. couldn't believe it.

he then goes back into the other room and carries on playing on his DS as if nothing has happened.

probably another thing he'll be better at than me if he decides to give it a proper go.. bless him...

        Amazing isn't it.
When I was a kid I would have been in total awe of such a wondrous thing.
But the kids of today are so used to having technology surrounding them, it probably seemed trivial to him

umm, now get him to fly a figure of 8 circuit

ive had friends turn up before when ive been on my sim, they say cool lets have a go, so i say yeah, its hard though, tell them what the sticks do and off they go,
nothing hard about that they say,
tell them to fly a set circuit or hover now they dont look to good at it

How true! I've had friends/family push the heli all over the sky, but ask them to hover - no chance!

There ya go. Kids eh? Mind you, I will say that on Phoenix I was looping and rolling the very first time I used it. But hovering, now there's something different...
