  • Innovator software display problem

I have downloaded the software from the Innovator web site >>Innovator<< and have it installed it on my pc no problem.
I have also tried to install it to my laptop (Which will be my preferred placing for it)
It installed OK except the bottom of the page is cut off. My screen resolution is at its max and no amount of tinkering with the display settings seems to help.
    Any one got suggestions? Please

This is what I see. SOFTWARE 1.jpg

PS laptop is running Vista Home Premium.

You might need to setup a virtual desktop area that is larger than the screen resolution.

I take it it's some kind of minibook with a very small screen? I think you need approx 768 pixels height on the screen to see all the innovator software, so if you've got a small screen that displays say 1024x600 then you won't be able to fit the innovator software on to the screen

            Here is something to try.

Right click on the desktop and choose "propertys" then click the "settings" tab and then "advanced"
Then click the "monitor" tab and look for a check box that says "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" and uncheck it.

Then close the second window and change your display resolution to something bigger. Like 1280*1024 and try the sortware again.

You wont be able to read everything clearly, but you should be able to use the sortware.

Can you give a link to the software download and I will try it on my laptop and see if I have the same problem, my screen is also 1280*800 (but I use an external desktop monitor as well)

Yes, but the vista settings should be similar

I just tried the sortware at 1280*800 resolution and it works fine for me.

The window just fits onto the screen but I can read it all.

Is the image above a screen capture of your entire desktop?

It seems that the innovator window is larger on your PC than on mine.. very odd.

Give me a minute to have a play with it and see if I can reproduce your problem on my PC

If you right click on the desktop and choose settings again and then click the "appearance" tab you should see an option for font size, make sure this is set to normal.

                        Eureka

                        I've sussed it

In a flash of inspiration I reduced my dpi from 120 to 96 and viola, Sorted

Yup, Just sussed it out while you were posting (see my previous post)
You get to it in a slightly different way in vista but the principles the same.

                          Thanks Holst

At least Ill be able to take the lappy to the heli instead of the heli to my pc which would have been a pain.
