  • Receiver Battery

Just wanted some thoughts on what people think is a good size receiver battery capacity for my T-Rex 600N. Its only running 6 channels (no governor) im currently setting it all up with an 800mAh 2 cell lipo through a regulator and this seems to last quite a while.

It largely depends on the servos being used and how hard you push it and then to a lesser degree how free the linkages are. But definitely avoid any binding as that will draw lots of power.

I was able to fly pretty much all day on one 4300mah NiMh battery in the Raptor 30 (Futaba 3152 servos). But the Ely.Q with a similar pack draws considerably more power (S9202 servos on cyclic). Both being flown quite gently, no 3D etc.

I would imagine with something like the Align 610 and 620 servos the power draw would be greater still as they produce lots more torque.

I'm not using a separate Rx pack. I just use the 1900mAH lipo it came with thru the 2-in-1 regulator. I'm getting about 4 flights out of each battery before the last green light goes out and have two batteries.

      Does for me...

i currently use a 2200mah 2s lipo and its fine for 4 flights and is fairly light, before that i had a 2s2p 4500mah lipo that could go all weekend without charging
