  • my first loop :D

spent a couple of hours on the sim last night practicing a few loops then today while up the flying site after a few good flights with the trex 600 i felt id have a go with the trex 450.put my 25c battery in (my other two are 15c so done use them for idle up) flicked into idle up and done a few stall turns then just went for it. i felt fantastic so i did a few more. i think i done around 6 some where a little sloppy tho but im still chuffed.couldnt do any more as i didnt have any more batteries so will have to wait till next time i go up so i can show the other club members.

thought id share my fantastic morning with you all.
    Thanks
    Jonathan

Once you have the basics down try and alter the size of the loop and try and make it as round as possible.
Its a great way to practice collective managment

Just remembet to keep nice and high when you are practicing new stuff

Love reading these post always reminds me of my first time 'awesome feeling' what I've aways done when I first started doing loops is to fly heli into a virtical climb then do the loop this way you can make a better recovery if she was to get into bit of a side roll also fly high that way you will perfect the loops & soon start doing bigger loops.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Nice one, it is a good feeling.

The sim is real good for learning new things before putting them into practice, just be carefull though. I spent a good few days on the sim last week because I couldn't get out and fly, and when I did actually get out and fly my fingers instinctively did a tumble manouver that I'd been doing on the sim but would never dream of doing for real just yet!

P.s try them on the 600 you will find them even easier to do on that than the 450 - I did

Funny mentioning Loops, did my first one in the Blade 400 yesterday also Fantastic feeling, got it up nice and high and just thought sod it, and went for it. Managed 3 in total before the battery started to lose power.

                          Well chuffed

Well done It took me 2 yrs before i done my 1st loop. I could do tons on the sim but never had the balls to transfer sim skills to real flying as quick as you've done. I was actually hovering inverted before i attempted a loop, & also doing tic tocs but a loop & a flip scared me Once it was out the way it opened up a whole new flying adventure
Yes the big sigpic is coming back

Its weird how you can build up an unnatural fear of some moves.
If you could hover inverted a loop should have been easy (and it probably was once you tried one)
