You need positive pitch when the collective stick is raised. Are you sure you have this?
Have you changed the blades at all. If so, are you sure you have them fitted with the leading edge facing the direction of travel?

The Novice settings from Post 2 are for an Innovater Beginner you have an Innovator Expert - one of the differences between them is Link length as the Beginner (MD530) cannot get as much nagative pitch. The settings will vary from machine to machine anyway due to mechanical differences - so they can only be guidelines with the knowledge that they worked for me on my example of the machine. Having input the settings you need to check the blade pitch - you want something like -2* at low stick 0* at mid stick and +8* at top stick - adjust the pitch curves to get this.

hi graham yeah ive put the blades on the right way, ive just bought some foam blades and took the wood one's off. and ive not changed anything else in the settings apart from the settings that edmund put on post 2. ive not got a clue about possitive pitch or collective settings! i could do with the complete novice settings to get me going i think or i'll just play around with it abit more and see what happens!!
i'll check them settings anyway and see what there on
          cheers graham.

You have the complete novice settings - but there are some things you are going to have to start understanding yourself. You need to learn to understand what the settings and curves translate to in physical control. The pitch settings are easy to see in the software, but you are going to have to make changes and then see the physical effect on the blades when you move the throttle stick up and down.

Beauty of the Innovator is you dont have to make (many) physical link changes, you can make a change in software, write it to heli and then check the physical outcome very quickly and easily.

First check do you have Zero Pitch at Mid stick?

i'll have to read up on it abit more i'm getting there slowly but still dont properly understand it yet as its all new to me! but hopefully i'll get the chance to check it all over again 2morrow but if not ive got the weekend to myself this weekend so i'll get it up in the air then! when u mention zero pitch at half stick i did have a look at this earlier and it seemed that when i put it at full stick it still looked like it was at zero pitch so i'll check that again.

Just to let all Innovator owners know (if you didn't already) there is a Software Update available, PCS0333. To update launch the Innovator software, read data from Helicopter and then select Help>Update and follow the prompts.

Those of you who missed the previous update will find there is also a helicopter Firmware update too (inov5.37).

                      Ok have sorted it now.

I re installed the software from the TT site and then it updated ok.
Have re bound and calibrated the tx and completed the set up and re entered my settings.

Just gotta see if it'll fly now

Hmmm, now I seem to have another problem

Since updating the software and firmware the heli now refuses to recognise its original lipo pack and it just shows a solid red light with a constant tone.
I have connected it up to the laptop and although its showing full voltage across a three cells, it isn't showing any battery capacity or ID number (This original pack never did show an ID number)
However when I put my second pack in it all works fine

                        Any ideas anyone ??

If you had the original software (that came on the CD) or the first update, then the built-in updater did not work, and the only way was to download the first version that did update from within the application (PCS0325), uninstall the olde version, - and then install the new version and the updated drivers that came with it.

Maybe that was your original problem?

I think it is possible to select the required Firmware version, an reload the older one. Another option might be to call Amerang - I found them very helpful when I first got mine. I will try to dig out the details of the chap I was in touch with.

Yup, installing the latest software did allow me to go through the update procedure.
No problems with the new software as far as I can tell, just this problem of being locked out from the original battery.

I've had a look to see if there's a way to reverse the helis firmware, but cant seem to find anything obvious.
I even tried doing a total reset from the original software that's still installed on my pc. But to no effect
I can only hope that Amerang can help me out here, otherwise this update is going to have cost me £50.00 And as you can imagine, I wont be best part pleased
