  • what causes pitching up in fast worward flight?

every once in a while normally when pulling out of a stall turn the heli seems to over correct or pitch up when i pull back on the sticks any idea what causes this? this is on my knight 3d with standard paddles

Most likely cause is the paddles - the Knight standard ones have a very sharp leading edge from memory and are quite light, so they tend to 'bite' the air quite aggressively.

Heavier, thicker paddles will help to get rid of this tendency, but will sacrifice some cyclic response speed.

I have two Trex600's, and one of them suffered from a similar issue, particularly in windy conditions (not necessarily after the Friday night curry ! )

I eventually took a close look at the head, and realised that one of the flybar cradle bearings was shot, and was causing some slop. Once that was sorted the pitchiness was gone.

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

thanks, i'll check the bearings as this heli has had quite a few flights on it now its not a massive issue and does it very rarely just wondered what might be causing it
