Using Alien Command with CCPM helis
If you check heliguy.com again, you'll find they now sell a product they call Alien Command Advanced. Its actually the original Alien Command / FMA Co-Pilot with the addition of a CSM Cyclock to convert the 90 degree outputs to 120 CCPM. It gives an added advantage of better resolution over in-transmitter CCPM mixing. You set up the transmitter for 90 degree. I'm not sure about the pricing model, it may be a little cheaper to buy the unadvanced Alien Command and buy the Cyclock elsewhere.
Its been tested with T-Rex 450 and 500.
Just my two penneth, as after a recent bad crash of my T500, I may consider such an option (the heli disappeared amonst a background of trees, so I didn't know which way was up). The £150 bill could easily have paid for this combination.
I wonder if Santa is feeling generous...

This sort of scenario has definitely allowed my Helicommand to pay for itself plus it has enabled me to learn a lot more quickly and have a great deal of flying enjoyment I could not experience without the unit.Originally posted by cbegg View PostIf you check heliguy.com again, you'll find they now sell a product they call Alien Command Advanced. The AlienCommand Advanced looks interesting at only £125. I don't think I would buy the standard Alien Command and CSM Cylock separately to save a few pounds - the software/firmware may be different, and the Advanced model is sold as an integrated unit. Buy them separately and if there are problems, you may not get the support you need.Edmund

There are previous posts on this topic but Alien is another branded FMA Co-Pilot. The basic system does not offer ccpm although such a version is availble. See this link Aurorra Ltd
I have used the FMA Co-Pilot on a trex 450 (90 degree) with an objective to learn basic manoevres and particularly nose-in. Whether you buy the Co-Pilot or the Alien it is a great aid to flying and in my experience it works well. Go for it!

That is a lot of bits... at least with Helicommand there is just one unit to mount.Edmund
