So, is it a noisy chopper, compared to the MCX?

        Hi Jack

It has a somewhat higher pitched note than the mCX as the head speed is much higher, plus the tail rotor has a little sound of its own. But it is nowhere near as noisy as the CX2/3.

AS a new heli pilot the msr is fantastic had it 3 days and doing bank turns. Been trying for 12 months just to hover 4#3b and spent loads on spares !!! Should have waited and got just msr best learner heli there is just my opinion. (ok not i have not much experiance to voice an opinion, but i have really been trying to get to grips with this hobby for 12 months now and this little heli has rekindled my drive to learn to fly.)
as for build quality no its not as well made as a 4#3b but it flies better for a novice, so less parts required, so to me its cheaper.
now set msr with no expo and finding it goes like stink, but WHEN i make a mistake just let go of stick and it goes into hover if enough room fantastic!!!!!
The msr may not be the best heli to real pilots but give me/other newbies something like this and we may learn someting
New to this and wish i could fly

The problem with the 4#3B is that they are not well setup out of the box and if you cant already fly its very hard to work out how to set them up.
Once setup they are fantastic, but it took me quite a few flights and lots of internet reading to work out how to make it fly properly.
(I learnt to fly on the 4#3B)

It is a lot of fun, and pretty strong too.

Having said that I've never replaced anything on our mCX but the mSR is out of action as of last night when it clipped the wall at a steep angle and the blade grip broke at the point where the screw is. It is easy to lose the little feathering shaft bushings when the blade grips pop apart too. Easily fixed with readily available spares.

I find the MSR too stable where as the 4#3B is more exciting to fly.

I do like that the MSR can be used with a spectrum transmitter, the walkera one is rubbish in comparison.
