Got back from the Southern Model airshow a while ago (with a shiny box).
In case, there's anyone on here from the Aerobatic Heli Association, I just wanted to say that they did a great slot this morning, showing and commentating on some F3C type flying. As a flyer of much smaller electric helis, it was nice to see a multi heli slot that wasn't just full on 3D, and the commentary did a really good job of explaining some of the F3C manouevres and trying to impart just how tricky they are to fly accurately.
A shame that the t-rex 600 or 700 at the right hand end of the flight line didn't get to really let rip though.
As ever, less heli bargains on the stands (a few places selling MSRs and MCXs, some contra rotating heli bargains). I fell for the charms of phoenixtech flasher 450 - had a quick spin (about 3 or mins in the back garden to spool it up this up), seems OK so far, but blade tracking is pretty badly out.
Lots of people wandering about in align jackets/t-shirts (or maybe I just noticed them) - so maybe even more helis next year!
Oh, and Dennis Kenyon (full size heli aero display pilot) is a total nutter!!
Andy
