  • What shall I buy?

As well as my mSR, some accessories for my Garmin and a few other pressies, I also got £30 in cash for my birthday from some of my relatives.

Can't make my mind up what to spend it on.

    I'm thinking thus far:

    1) a second LiPo for my 600NSP - £18
I currently only have one battery and it ran out of green at the field this morning.

    2) a set of Quick UK canopy mounts for my 600NSP - £12
a nice to have but not essential piece of kit?

But then I got to thinking I could also use:

    a) a DX7 neckstrap adaptor - £13
or should I spend a couple of quid on an eye bolt from B&Q and make my own?

    b) a hand-cranked fuel pump - £10
Thinking about one of these in case my electric pump gives up the ghost and leaves me stranded.

    So, should I buy items 1 and 2? or 1 and a)? or 1 and b)?

    What do ya reckon?

2 and a in my opinion. Get an electric fuel pump if you have a choice (and a spare battery). Its a good upgrade from hand pumping !

P.S. You can borrow my hand pump if your lecky one dies
P.P.S. You can always bring your charger along to top up the Li-Po in the 600

Or share it via a bottle of something to put in Les's tea to help keep the cold out in the not to distant...

Two small lipos are better than one big one - keeps the heli light. plus sometimes batteries pack in and thats bad if you only have one

Why on earth did you spend the price of a gallon of fuel on an electric fuel pump that you now think might stop working?! Sell the pump to someone with a huge plank that needs it to fill his half gallon tank

What about a Bendercap from HeliAddicts store makes a nice clean way of fueling.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

I didn't. A very kind forum member, Farmer Giles, gave it to me for free. It's showing no signs of giving up the ghost but thought a manual one might be a good idea as a standby.

                          Thanks for the input guys.

Does anyone know if the JR adaptor 1) fits the DX7 and b) balances the radio? IMHO the Spektrum adaptor is over-engineered and the G-force would exert considerable force on the attachment point.

                            Update:

Just pressed BUY on the LiPo for my 600NSP. Gonna make my own neck strap balancer and put the other tenner towards a gallon of fuel.

                            Thanks for the input guys.

If you want a JR Neckstrap addapter I will send you one as a Birthday Present. When I got my DSX9 I fitted the JR one, but it is not quite long enough to give the balance point I like, so I fitted the Spektrum one to my DSX9.

So..... you can have the JR one - it will fit and is better looking.
