Hi all had my first crash with the raptor 50 se this morning, Tried to do another pirouette and just lost it, Got it all back together this afternoon what a doddle of a job, So much easier than the 450's. Main shaft, feathering shaft flybar, blades and a couple of links, While i was at it i checked the clunk in the tank and found the fuel pipe inside the tank had started to perish so fitted new fuel pipes all the way through. Can't see any other damage is there anything i should look for.
    Any thought would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear of your crash, your right the Raptor is an easy heli to work on. I found the 450 also nice to work on though.

Sounds like you have replaced the usual suspects. I would give the heli a thorough pre-flight check including tail belt tension etc. I would also check the pitch to ensure all is as it should be. You will soon see/feel if somethings not quite right when it comes up to hover - blade tracking, vibration etc.

Sorry to hear of your "in". Sound slike you got it sorted quick tho.

I was just saying to Rob (Dedcalm) at the field today that I fancied picking up a Raptor. They sound really good to work on.

For learning on they are nice, of course you could crash your 600 a few times for the cost of a 2nd hand rappy 50 and a few more again for a 30. If you went with a 30 then I would go for one with a OS37, and any OS50 with the 50 (you cant tell I am biased WRT OS engines?!?!?)

The main thing to keep in mind is what servos and gyro are installed in any 2nd hand model - if it has anything less spec than you would install then you wont be happy with (or trust) it. A rappy 50 would (should) have good servos, similar to your 600. You can get away with less on the 30. I would say a GY401 as a minimum on either TBH.

A guy at the field put a 50Titan in today hard while trying inverted circuits, I guess he just lost the control made a right mess.

Derrick , check all your bearings as well .. They tend to get away with it on Raptors depending on the crash ... only downside to Rappy is split the frames to get to bearings , other than that they nice .. A mates has just gone back to a Raptor as he has had nothing but trouble with his Trex
