  • After a week away some serious sim and mCX time needed!

After a week out of the country on business I need to somehow balance spending time with the family and also getting some quality time on my sim and with my Blade mCX!

I guess the family will win and I'll have to wait a bit to try and get some helicopter fun.

    my opinion / experience:

short sim sessions can help a lot. Try to fly a little bit every day, even if it's only five minutes.

Continuously look for new ways to challenge yourself. For example:
    - tail-in hovering is a waste of time for most people, because they can do it already
    - so is uncontrolled buzzing-around in the sky.
    - piroflips are also a waste of time for typical beginners, because wayyyyyyy to difficult. They try anyway...
so always keep on looking for what should be the "next step ahead". Usually it's tail-in hover, nose-in hover, both side-ins, then a good way to progress are the angles corresponding to the 12 hours on a clock face and slow piros. That should keep you busy for a while :-)

      I think that's excellent advice.

AS a learner I fall into that trap when flying, tail in comfort zone side on, start to get the jitters then nose in, well, brown trousers time

Got to push yourself though, i agree, i cant do nose in really, my brain just seizes up at that point, and I wouldn't like to see my shiny rappy 30 bouncing off the deck, I think its a case of being realistic and setting achieveable goals.
